We begin in the ultra-cool seaside town of Kalk Bay, perched on the cliffs of the Cape Point Peninsula. Breakfast and a joint in one of the city's finest cannabis lounges is followed by a cliffside hike to take in the morning view over the ocean.

We then transfer to Newlands, a leafy part of Cape Town adjacent to Table Mountain, where we visit a cannabis lounge in what was previously the French embassy and have lunch. Nearby, we explore the Arderne Gardens, which houses a collection of Gondwana trees - descendants in the oldest unbroken genetic lineage of trees on the planet, which goes back over 200 million years.

Finally, we end the day with a late afternoon hike on one of the many trails on the western side of Table Mountain, to get the best seats in the house to watch the sun go down.
